Day 1: Arrival in Yangon – Welcome to Myanmar

• Mingalabar! Arrive at Yangon International Airport.

• Meet & greet by your professional guide and transfer to your hotel.

• Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an orientation walk around colonial downtown, Sule Pagoda, and local markets.

• Evening visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most sacred site, glowing golden at sunset – a spiritual and unforgettable start.

Day 2: Yangon ✈️ Mandalay – Ancient Royal Capitals

• Early morning flight to Mandalay, the last royal capital of Myanmar.

• Begin with a visit to the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge.

• Discover the Mahamuni Buddha Image and admire the art of gold leaf making.

• Explore Mandalay Palace walls, Kuthodaw Pagoda (world’s largest book), and Shwenandaw Monastery.

• Sunset at Mandalay Hill with panoramic city views.

Day 3: Mandalay – Amarapura – Ava – Sagaing Excursion

• Full-day exploration of the surrounding ancient capitals:

o Amarapura: Monastic life at Mahagandayon Monastery.

o Ava (Inwa): Explore by horse cart, visit Bagaya Monastery and Nanmyint Watchtower.

o Sagaing Hill: Home to hundreds of pagodas and nunneries, with sweeping Irrawaddy River views.

• Return to Mandalay by sunset.

Day 4: Mandalay 🚘 Mount Popa 🛕 Bagan

• Scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano and pilgrimage site.

• Climb the 777 steps (optional) to the top of Taung Kalat Monastery, home to the 37 Nats (spirit beings).

• Continue to Bagan, the land of over 2,000 pagodas.

• En route, stop at a toddy palm plantation for a local tasting and insight into rural life.

Day 5: Bagan Highlights – Optional Balloon Over Bagan (BOB)

• Optional (at extra cost): 🌅 Balloon Over Bagan for a breathtaking sunrise over the temple plain.

• Full-day Bagan sightseeing:

o Ananda Temple – the finest and most revered

o Dhammayangyi – the largest temple with unique architecture

o Sulamani, Thatbyinnyu & Htilominlo pagodas

o Visit a lacquerware workshop to learn a traditional art form

• End the day with sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda or riverside viewpoint.
