DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY – DAINAM PARK (BREAKFAST) 

ABF at hotel. Check out hotel then leave Ho Chi Minh city for Dai Nam national park/ Suoi Tien Park

 There have been many attempts at theme parks in Vietnam, but few have come close to the real deal. However, this has all just changed with the arrival of Dai Nam Theme Park, located about 30km from Ho Chi Minh City on Hwy 13. The roller-coaster is serious stuff with corkscrews and loops, plus there is a sky dive and a log flume. There are plenty of rides for smaller kiddies and a safari park–style zoo with white tigers, white rhinos and other big animals. Plans are afoot to open a huge water park here during 2009. Dai Nam will be the biggest theme park in Vietnam, many times the size of its nearest rival. DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY HALFDAY CITY TOUR –CU CHI TUNNELS (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

AM: HCM City

We start the trip by visiting Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, followed by exploring the Reunification Palace,andthe remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum, (optional Ben Thanh Market -only drop off).

PM: Cu Chi Tunnels

Located 60km from HCMC, Cu Chi is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens.

Today, ducks and water buffalos happily co-exist in the rivers along the side of the road. However, the peaceful rural rice paddy scenery belies the area’s violent history. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destruction, damage & defoliation over this whole area, caused by bombing and mines. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone".

Start our tour in the morning, before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Return to Sai Gon.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH CITY- HA NOI BY FLIGHT (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

Transfer to the airport for departure flight to Hanoi. Our driver will pick you up at Noi Bai International Airport (Flight TBA) and transfer to hotel for check in.

Stroll around the downtown to explore the different local ways of life and if the time permit, we will visit the Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital city including Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and Temple of Literature. Late afternoon Take a short sightseeing tour by cyclo through the bustling ancient quarter streets.

Evening enjoy a performance of Hanoi’s famous water puppets (unique to Vietnam).

DAY 5: HA NOI - HA LONG BAY (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Proceed (3.5h) to Ha Long Bay_was recognized by UNESCO twice as world natural heritage. First time on 17/12/1994, Ha Long Bay was recognized for aesthetic value. On 2/12/2000, the Bay was recognized for the value of geology, geomorphology. Moreover, Ha Long bay has just been announced in list of top seven new natural world’s wonders by New7Worlder Organization.

On arrival in Halong bay, take a boat trip about 4hrs journey. Lunch on boat with fresh seafood.Cruise through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visit Thien Cung cave (the cave of the heavenly palace – famous for its stalagmites and stalactites) the cave has only opened to the public since 1998. A short way visit the newly discovered Dau Go grotto. 

Dinner at local restaurant. Free to discover night market.

DAY 6: HA LONG BAY – HA NOI (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

AM: Free to discover Halong Bay. Departure to Hanoi.Lunch at local restaurant. On arrive in Hanoi, shopping at Old Quarter or Dong Xuan Market.

DAY 7: HA NOI - DEPARTURE/ Good Bye Vietnam (BREAKFAST)
